I had an urge to reconnect with Hong Kong and myself through rediscovering some of the old areas inside the city. Using my camera, I tried to find a new angle on the urban landscape, revisiting places where I grew up - the empty old housing estates, the abandoned schools and temples … even some of the forgotten little alleys I passed by everyday.
I see trees as a spirit and passion for my city, which is expressed in disguise by modifying the pictures already captured. The contradiction and intersection of lightness and weight of life is always the subject I am interested in. I am trying to express some kind of imaginary and dreamy qualities which can also be identified in my work.
